The pre-Christmas season calls for music that will warm you up – and that is traditionally the Christmas concert of Michal Prokop with the Framus Five. This musical group has been playing together for almost six decades, and their Christmas performance is one of the most beautiful musical events of the year. This year, this great musical celebration will take place on December 20, 2025 at the Karlín Forum.
Michal Prokop and his Framus Five are among the most important groups in Czech rock history. The beginnings date back to 1963, but the fundamental turning point came in 1967, when the then guitarist Michal Prokop first stood up to the microphone as a singer. Since then, the band has gained a firm place on the music scene, and songs such as “Kolej Yesterday”, “Blues o spolykaných slovech” or “Bitva o Charles Bridge” have become popular.
The Christmas concerts of Michal Prokop and his guests are renowned for their unique atmosphere and often close the concert year on the highest note. In addition to legendary hits, songs from Ostraka's latest album will be performed, and this year's guests will also be present - prominent personalities and new discoveries from the Czech music scene.
