Kraftwerk
Electronic icons Kraftwerk are coming to Prague. A unique symbiosis of man and machine in a technically precise 3D show that defined modern music.
Hudba / Elektronická hudba
Electronic music icons and visionaries of modern sound Kraftwerk are returning to the Czech Republic as part of their world tour. On July 15, 2026, they will perform at Prague's Forum Karlín, where they will present their unique audiovisual show combining music, digital animation and performance. The audience can expect an exceptional evening that confirms Kraftwerk's status as one of the most influential formations in music history.
Kraftwerk concerts are renowned as a "Gesamtkunstwerk" - a total work of art that combines electronic music, robotic aesthetics and precisely synchronized visual projections. The founder of the project, Ralf Hütter, together with his team, live illustrates the symbiosis of man and machine - an idea that has been fundamental to Kraftwerk for more than five decades.
The Kraftwerk project was founded in 1970 in Düsseldorf, where Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider founded the legendary Kling Klang studio. It was here that all the fundamental recordings that fundamentally influenced the development of modern music were conceived and produced. In the mid-1970s, Kraftwerk gained international recognition for their revolutionary electronic soundscapes, synthetic voices and computer-generated beats, which became the basis for a whole range of genres – from electro and hip hop to techno and synthpop.
With a vision of the future and a fascination with technology, Kraftwerk created the soundtrack of the 21st century digital age. Their influence goes far beyond music and extends into the fields of visual arts and contemporary culture. Since 2012, the Kraftwerk project has once again strongly connected with the art scene – including through retrospective 3D concert series at institutions such as MoMA in New York, Tate Modern in London, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.
Kraftwerk’s importance is also confirmed by prestigious awards: in 2014, Ralf Hütter received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2021, Kraftwerk were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The Prague concert will offer a cross-section of the band's iconic work and present it in a form that is technically precise, visually impressive, and ideologically timeless.
