The Police Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is an enthusiastic group of 150 musicians, singers and volunteers from Police nad Metují, a small town near the Polish border. A group that enjoys bringing people together through music, helping and creating unforgettable experiences. In 15 years, they have left their mark in the Rudolfinum, on the waves of Radiožurnál, at the Smetananova Litomyšl (with singer Zaz) and Rock for People festivals, in the hockey arena, in a giant circus tent or on the rocks. The journey of this determined band through the world of music is mapped out in the feature film The Grand Finale of the PSO, which will be released in Czech cinemas in the summer of 2024. The musicians are only rewarded with joy, and they have already raised over 3.2 million crowns for charity through their concerts. The repertoire includes everything from films and classics to rock, swing and popular music, including recent world hits. The original interpretation of well-known compositions has been complemented by their own choir since 2022.
The concert is held as part of the Rock for People Concerts series. This summer, the festival got a moshpit going with this symphony, and you just want to experience it again. The concert is for standing, so Bejby definitely won't be sitting in the corner.
So, are you ready for a symphonic show? See you at Forum Karlín!
The concert includes visual effects, including the use of a strobe light.
The program and performers are subject to change.
